Thank-you for posting. I will ride out to Cork Harbor tonight to assess the situation and ensure it meets town parking requirements. As a general rule, as long as the road is not otherwise posted, street parking on either side is legal as long as there is enough width remaining for a large fire truck to safely pass through at a reduced speed. Streets posted at 25mph in Cary are designed to allow a standard sized vehicle to park no more than one foot from the curb on either side, and still allow enough width for emergency vehicles to pass. I’ll follow up on “seeclickfix” with my findings, but if you’d like to discuss it one on one, please feel free to contact me at 919-469-4088, or kevin.tingen@townofcary.org any time.
Thank you!
