Description
There is no safe way to cross Mt Vernon here for pedestrians. We would like to take advantage of walkable grocery stores but cannot cross with all the traffic and no crosswalk or pedestrian cross signal. Would love a lighted crosswalk system for carting groceries home.

I'm not requesting an entire new traffic light. I'm requesting a flashing pedestrian signal that users can push only when needing to cross, or at the very least a simple cross walk. It is "unreasonable" to just dismiss this request by telling pedestrians to walk an extra 950 feet to get to an area that's only 12 feet away.

In addition to the planned improvements on Mount Vernon Road, the city has plans for pedestrian crossings in this area. The existing crosswalk at the entrance to All Saints is expected to be relocated to the intersection at Jett Ferry and a new crossing is planned at North Peachtree Road.
