I met with Homeowners Club president and am in the process of scheduling work as well as water samples. This SCF was created to track that effort and combine existing SCF to one information source. Thank you!

Issue remains - one of the retention ponds is experiencing a massive fish kill. Rotting floating fish are littering the pond and shoreline. Water looks rancid and rank. Problem persists and no flow has been restored to system.

Problem with ponds persists and there are literally hundreds of dead fish floating. Dozens of buzzards have been feeding on the rotting fish leaving a health hazard with fish entrails being left behind.

A crew is being sent out this morning to respond to the reported fish kill. I met with SPTO crews earlier in November to discuss maintenance activities on the ponds. The required crews are arranging their line-clearing and outfall clearing activities as discussed previously and a schedule will be added to this SeeClickFix once a work order is generated shortly. This work will improve flushing between ponds and tidal interactions through outfalls. Thank you!

The SPTO customer service team has received an update that this issue has been addressed by the corresponding crew. All lines were cleared, mangrove blocking the inlet was removed, and mitigation taken care of per permit.
