This has not been taken care of, It's actually worse. I got a call from Michelle Duprey about 3 weeks ago and said it was going to be taken care but it hasn't.Michelle is the Director of the Dept. of Services for Persons with Disabilities for the city of New Haven, She herself is a disabled person and an attorney.So it really blows my mind that she doesn't seem to care about this issue.She said she called the dept. of traffic.But still nothing. One day there was this police officer's care with dealer plates parked on the side walk.He must of seen me take a picture because the next day he parked across the street blocking the sidewalk in the construction site.
I don't understand why they don't park around the corner on Orange St. where they have a parking lot.There is not that much traffic on that side.No one else is allowed to do this so I don't understand why they are allowed to .The mayor said he was going to look into on primary day but still nothing.Disabled people should not have to go another block especially with it getting darker earlier because these people feel that they can break the law and get away with it.My next step will be to call the ADA ,the media, and our state senator.

This has not been addressed.It just keeps getting worse. I think one of the reasons why they don''t take this seriously is because they don't realize that I CAN see this from my apt.They probably figure that since it's a city downtown street no one is watching. Not only can I see it from my apt. I see it up close every week day as I go back and forth to Rite Aid.

By the way when I spoke to an officer in front of the new college who was about to use his cellphone he got irritated with me when I told him the handicap curb in the sidewalk was being blocked.His reply was to inquire if I called the dept. of traffic.I told him no because I saw him and thought he would address it.(It's not as if I carry their number with and they haven't done anything about it in the first place).Out of the 4 officers that I pointed this out to only one did anything about it.

This situation has NOT only NOT been fixed it has NOT (even) been addressed.It just seems to be getting worse.So much for the great review I gave SeeClickFix in the most recent survey.You guys keep asking me if this situaion has been resolved(5 times now)but it makes me wonder if you guys take these complaints seriously.Don't you folks follow up?

Yesterday Monday May 15th I went by and Frank from enforcemen was there to make sure that no one was parked illegally and to keep traffic moving. Ironically HE was parked on the sidewalk but was left no other choice from his superiors.( I guess they could have left him on foot patrol but then it wouldn't have looked as persuasive/official like).IT'S JUST TOO BAD THAT THE NEEDS OF THE COLLEGE WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE NEEDS OF THE DISABLED AND THE SENIORS.AS I SAID I BROUGHT THIS ISSUE UP TO DESTEFANO ON PRIMARY DAY.I'LL NEVER VOTE FOR HIM AGAIN. I do however do want to thank Frank for his dilegence on this issue.

Cars parked outside of K of C morning and afternoon for dropping and picking up. K of C has quite some land. if its employees pick up or drop people on the street and wait quite long sometimes, it should build its own drop/pick up drive way.

This issue has not been resolved.There were a couple of times when the traffic dept had two of their representatives standing in front reminding people they can't park where they have been.That lasted a couple of weeks.Atfer that I was told I have to call the "dept" and they'll send someone down.

Then the week the college opened a rep from their dept was standing out front telling me they were going to give them a week to adjust. After that I ' ve seen no one. In fact the cars (certain ones) are still parking on the sidewalk like it' s their private driveway. My feeling is most of these people don't live in New Haven and could care less about the damage they're doing ie sidewalks.traffic etc.
Then there's the cops working overtime who park ANYWHERE THEY WANT blocking a whole of traffic lane leading on to the highway.Talk about about nerve.They don't care and neither does Destefano.tavtare fano.
They walk the side of the college a block down to ticket the students but a block up they totally ignore. They aren't going to do anything consistent about this.To me it's too bad that certain people can't do damage to the city and break the law and get away with it.

I deleted most of my pictures because I believed what I was told.Such much for them ever telling the truth about this.Quite frankly Destefano lied right to my face.I wil never believe him again never mind vote for him.

This problem has not been resolved.It's only gotten worse. Ticket takers tell me it's not their block or call the traffic dept. They addressed it for a couple of weeks and it stoppedThey are bold enough to park on the sidewalk;play their games, text, make calls etc.
I don't believe any one cares.I'll leave it at that for now.

I spoke to employees who write out tickets and was told that they were told to stay away from the Knights by their supervisor.With the mayor lying right to my face and with these 2 being told to stay away I doubt that this matter will not be resolved unless the media gets involved. SO NO this issue has not been resolved.

It's obvious to me that nothing is going to be done concerning this issue.They've actually gone and accommodated these people.Leave it open-close it. I don't care anymore. Given the length of days that this has been opened my assumption is that See Click doesn't care about this issue period,

IT HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED PERIOD. I JUST TRIED ADDRESSING THE IDLE TRUCK ON CHAPEL STREET ACROSS DOLLAR TREE AND IT WAS WIPED.THE CITY NOR THIS WEBSITE GIVES A CRAP.

We are trying to delineate issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve. Any issues prior to 2013 are being closed. If your issue remains and needs to be addressed by the city, please either re-open or open as a new See Click Fix issue. Thanks.
