There has already been several accidents at this intersection over the past few years

Citizen called that lives at 669 Hagood St. requesting the same thing due to the high speed drivers going through there.

Please provide an update on this issue. This is a very dangerous intersection.

This continues to be an extremely dangerous intersection for people turning off Hagood onto Montclair Road. Yesterday I was nearly t-boned by a truck running the red light on Montclair at about 60 mph. It is extremely difficult to see traffic coming from the left due to the fencing and plantings of the house on the corner, so knowing that the light is often run and exercising caution is not enough to ensure safety. Someone is going to be killed at this intersection. Had I not slammed on my brakes yesterday, it may have been me and/or my four-year-old.

Please provide an update on this situation.

An analysis was performed of the signal timing. Police enforcement was recommended for people running the red signal at this time. Montclair Road is being evaluated for potential traffic calming measures such as road diets. Thank you.
