At the time this tree is taken down and removed there are also other dead/diseased trees, downed trees, and upright dead tree trunks (~10 - 15 feet high) in the immediate area that should also be removed. Most are in the area presently being cleared by detention center personnel.

Trees and debris have been removed from the damn.We are in the process of removing the sycamore tree.

While the Detention Center Crews have done a wonderful job removing years of overgrown brush and debris from the site, they still have a long way to go to complete the job. However, the dead standing and fallen trees, as well as tall standing trees stumps, remain. While I appreciate that Macon-Bibb has acknowledged the issue, the removal work has not yet begun. Therefore, this issue is not, in fact, "closed".
