The train also blocks the roads in the evenings rush traffic. It is creating a dangerous situation when I have witnessed several cars going around the railway crossing arms. I agree something needs to be done

I too have been stopped by the train for an unreasonable amount of time. It is my understanding that 10 minutes should be the max amount of time. I have tried to find a schedule however I am told that it is unpredictable...

"Here's the rule right out of the general code of operating rules.
6.32.6: Blocking Public Crossings
When practical, a standing train or switching movement must avoid blocking a public crossing
longer than 10 minutes.
That rule applies when the train actually stops.If we're moving even 1 mph the 10 minutes doesn't start til we stop."

I've also seen it blocking the crossing in the afternoon. I pick my boyfriend up at work right there on the corner of 4th & Chestnut and have seen cars go the wrong way on 4th, trying to avoid the congestion from the train
