The past 3 mornings, between 6:40 am and 7, slow moving long trains have blocked both streets for more than 15 minutes. I thought there was a "law" about how long they could block the road way. This is ridiculous, at rush time!!!

This is from a UPRR engineer;
"Here's the rule right out of the general code of operating rules.
6.32.6: Blocking Public Crossings
When practical, a standing train or switching movement must avoid blocking a public crossing
longer than 10 minutes.
That rule applies when the train actually stops.If we're moving even 1 mph the 10 minutes doesn't start til we stop."
