which lane are you getting cut off from?

I think some big orange cones placed strategically (we can get a study done, maybe hire a consultant) would do just fine.

Signs might help but I still think that the city engineers need to address this properly, rather than band-aiding the issue. Widening the road should help fix it. I propose that the meridians be removed (like on 2nd Ave W) and perhaps use some of the grassed area between the parking lot at the Kinsmen Water Park and 28th Street W. to widen that stretch also - which would eliminate eastbound traffic from being forced to merge into one lane. It really is a bit of a mess; can't wait for winter when the snow banks will make it even narrower ...

The outside lane when you are west bound. You can either turn down central, or go straight. But people think the left lane (for turning south on Central) goes straight. Either way, two little signs up beside the main lights might help. Easy fix!

Not sure how you were being cut off from your description. I use this intersection every day and yeah, I get cut off by idiots so often who don't know the rules of the road that I've given up hope. I wait until I have the right of way and then hold my breath and go thru the intersection. I know the whole time that in the end I'm getting blamed.

Great idea, it is the most stupidest, lane way in the city. They widened the left turning lane making it look like all there is is turning lanes and no straight through. Maybe, they should put up signs, or they should buy the corner lot and build the lanes properlyl

Hey folks! I drive through this intersection at least twice a day & get cut off at least once a week by vehicles in the turning lane for South on Central Ave. who then want to go straight in front of me instead. I am so aware of this that I wait for a vehicle beside me to actually start turning left before I progress through the intersection. That is how bad it is! The other irritant was when the city took away the left turning lane for vehicles heading North on to Central off 28th.

I first posted a comment here about 10 months ago (#73420 intersection of central ave and 28th street) and I'm encouraged to see people are still wanting this fixed.
But does this have to take 10 months to get a response from the city?
(Don't answer that!)
I am concerned that our society is such a reactive bunch instead of being more proactive; envisioning what might happen before something bad actually does.
So, my main question here is, how do these 'issues' move from this place into the hands of the people that can actually get something done about them?
