Description
Traffic coming down 17th street get stopped at this light. Because of the timing of the light, the tail of traffic extends out to block one of the two westbound lanes of traffic on independence avenue. This causes a backup on both westbound independence and Maine avenues. Because the rock creek park is outbound only until 6:30 pm there is very little traffic on eastbound independence avenue before this traffic light.
