Speed limit signs have been posted, and it seems that the situation has gotten worst. Some drivers have become so bold that they have been racing up the street. I am not sure what else will be done. Once an accident happens, vehicular or bodily harm, I am pretty sure extra steps will be taken.

Has the city thought about letting unmarked cars patrol the area. I believe more evidence will become apparent. Just about Everyone obeys the law when patrol cars are observed. This street needs assistance for the CHILDREN and residents to remain safe. The ambulance should not have to be called for this to be taken serious. Urgency is neccessary.

Can anyone explain how on a normal day 24-28 cars travel up and down Carolyn, but when the partol car sets up a speed trap only 10-12 cars are up and down Carolyn? When it is time to go to work, most cars are traveling east on Carolyn, and return going west. So if the patrolman is setting up next adjacent to Gallatin road - who are you going to catch. Around lunchtime the postal truck drive as if it is a speedway, then evening the furniture truck seems to have no breaks. Just observations. Hopefully this gets out to the someone.

A couple of cars and a van had parked on the street hindering line of sight. A few close calls the pass couple of weeks. A child playing had a ball go into the street, whereas a vehicle speeding over the hill slammed on the breaks in time. Had a good conversation with our councilmen, and the safety division at the East Hill Neighborhood meeting. Hope to get additional assistance. Rumble strips were brought up, but no resolution as of yet. Trucks and many other commercial vehicles are beginning to use this street as a short cut. Is it possible to have no commercial vehicle signs posted? Waiting on the next phase of Street Calming?
