There are many people sharing/living in an apartment on the lower floor of this property. This unit in the bottom is not zoned for a living space and is an illegal apartment. I believe homeless people are using this as a crash pad.

Police responded to 943 7th Street North in reference to possible homeless using the lower apartment as a place to sleep. Sergeant Borrelli met with the residents of both apartments and confirmed their status as tenants with the property owner. There were no other visitors at either apartment while Sergeant Borrelli was there. The property owner has been made aware of the complaint and will visit the property today to re-address the terms and conditions of the lease with both tenants. There are no criminal violations for the police to investigate at this time at this property.
