Heavy speeding between wade ave/ Glenwood intersection to peace st on Glenwood ave at the hour of 7-7:30..need some assistance to slow these lawbreakers..

I just drove down Glenwood in the south bound lane and saw a accident at the intersection of Wade Ave where there is a light. The accident happened in the north bound lane. Please know that the people who live off of Glenwood from the Wade Ave. intersection to the Peace Street intersection witness travelers who violate the speed limit during the day and night. Trying to make a left hand turn on to Glenwood is an accident waiting to happen because travelers speed up when they drive down the hill on either side of Glenwood. Please put another traffic light at the intersection of Washington Street and Glenwood to eliminate the traveler's habit of speeding up as they come down the hill from Peace Street or the Wade Ave. intersection traveling north or south. Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Carole, I think that is an great idea. Any idea on how to implement that ? Because, I set at breakfast table in the morning watching the traffic go by home in the morning around 7:00 and they're driving well over the speed limit going by Bishops Park...Bob

Has not been fixed. Please set a vehicle in that area and you'll see what I'm talking about and my friends as well. This area is always going fast heading into downtown on Glenwood from five points to peace st. Starts at 7:00 in the morning and lasting all day but it's extreme in the morning as I watch from my home with then going by way too fast..thank you for sitting something up to slow them down especially at 7: am during the workweek

All putting a light there will do is cause more speeders. People will want to "beat the light" more because of the light being there and people will also run the red light cause more traffic problems then there are now. It may look great on paper but put in play it will just cause problems.

I wish a rotary could be put in at the wade ave/ Glenwood ave junction and enticing drivers to go over to capital blvd to access the city! From rah intersection to peace street is hell because of the traffic and there is little being done to slow it down!
