Description

I think green arrows or delayed green lights need to be put at the intersection of cambridge rd and bedford rd. I heard a bad accident from my house last weekend. It's almost impossible to take a left from cambridge rd on to bedford rd and south bedford rd. I see people running red lights all the time just to get through the intersection.

This intersection is one of the most dangerous I have ever seen. It needs to be widened and totally re-vamped. There have been numerous serious accidents there, check the RMV records. Because it falls directly on the town/city line and on a State (or is it Federal?) highway, no one seems to want to step up and make this happen until someone they deem important gets killed or injured.

I totally agree that a green arrow light is needed at the corner of Bedford Rd and Cambridge Rd. I have lived off of Bedford Rd for 15 years and that corner is dangerous! Almost impossible to take a left turn on to Bedford Rd safely. I always said that they are waiting for someone to be killed before the problem is fixed. There have been numerous accidents over the years.

This is a state controlled intersection, I will forward these concerns to Mass DOT. This intersection has been the topic of many discussions and proposals over the past years involving Woburn, Burlington and Mass DOT. Chief Ferullo

This concern was forwarded to Mass Department of Transportation. This intersection is under the control of the state. Both Burlington and Woburn officials are working with the state to try and prioritize improvements to this area.
