You should see how many cats we have up here in Glenolden on Hillcrest Ave. The borough does nothing to get rid of them. Residents have been paying to have them neutered. The Borough manager sits on the new animal control board in Delaware county and he says the should starve to death buy no feeding them

how about rather than suggesting murdering stray cats you call your local SPCA or animal control and have them catch the strays? it's ignorant people like yourself that harm innocent animals because they are "pests" rather than take the time to find a humane way of solving the problem. you have got to be kidding me. you make me sick.

"Get rid of cats" means they will be killed and not in a pleasant way. A better alternative is to bring your neighbors together to get them spayed/neutered which will cut down on the population. If you take the first step, others will lend a hand. The Spayed Club Clinic in Sharon Hill does low cost spay/neuter and offers additional financial assistance for large groups of cats. It's not the cats' fault they have been abandoned and neglected, it's people's fault. The cats are only doing what their instincts tell them to do. Do something to help them. It will make you feel good and people will appreciate and respect you. Also, you can buy a box of "Repel" which are granules that keep dogs & cats out of gardens, lawns, etc. You can find it at Petsmart and it works. As for the trash, have a little party with your neighbors and clean up the area. All you need is a couple trash bags and a weed whacker. You will feel good about yourself and your community. Stop complaining and do it yourself.
