Description

We have had some issues with ants for the last couple of years and now it’s out of control. Our property is located in front of the Orion Park and there are tons of ants around the playground, along the sides of the sidewalk, and in/around our house. We recently called the ant pest control twice and they came to our house and evaluated the situation. They said there is nothing they can do because we’ve done everything we can do inside and outside the house. They said we need to contact Chula Vista City and request they do something about it since the ants are coming from the common areas into our house.
We have ants all over the house: all the rooms from 1st to 3rd floor, bathrooms, inside the cabinets, on the top of kitchen counter top, dining table, all over the wall and floor everyday. We spray outside and put ant gel (very strong one) all over the house. It works only for a couple of days but they keep coming back in few days.
The pest control person traced the ants back to the common area playground and down past a couple of properties to the street. I was only able to attached one picture outside. The red lines on the picture are the path the ants are taking. The Pest control person said it looks like several colonies are merging, and there is no way we can prevent them from coming in our house, unless the nest is found and sprayed. He said he can’t spray for us, because he would have to spray across several properties, and that’s why he said to contact city to have them take care of it. Please advise. Thank you!
