site was supposed to have 7
homes on it; it is nothing but
a depository for owners' heavy
equipment plus several sewer
viaducts are stored there(we do
not even have sewers on

also gravel, sand, dirt etc. It's
a disgrace to have these lots
used in this manner.

Hello....There is no such street number as 8287 Collins Road, but my research shows that the address you are referring to is most likely is 8291 Collins Road. What you are seeing on this vacant parcel will not be the jurisdiciton of Metro Codes, but rather the Department of Water Services...Storm Water Grading. A permit was issued to this location on November 5, 2008 for Lot 7 for stormwater grading. Storm Water thru Water Services has made 11 inspections of work being done and the last inspection they made was on January 5, 2010 and approved. This site is stil an active site and if you need further clarification on work being done, please contact Phil Saad at 880-2420 for further assistance.

I have no idea what is occurring at this spot - sometimes there are several pieces of equipment there; they are now dumping gravel, piles of dirt and rock, sand, etc. it appears to be a dumping spot for anything. I did send photos, but perhaps you did not receive them. I appreciate you contacting me about this. I contacted Bo Mitchell and he states it is a codes problem - it may be a watershed issue, but why use it as a dump site.

The agency you need to contact is Storm Water Management - Codes does not have authority over vacant lots. You will need to contact Phil Saad at 880-2420. Codes is only responsible for the actual Building Permits...and inspections of all structures. But this is not a Codes issue.

If there is illegal dumping, this is the sole jurisdiction of Metro Health, and they can be reached at 340-5644.

I guess we need to close this issue - most of the equipment has been removed; still dumping rocks,miscellaneous but levelling same so the area is looking a bit better - will watch it closely and if needed, will\
