Daily garbage dump for 7 years (probably longer but I've only been here that long). Classic dump sites like this should have daily or if not doable then frequent regular pickup. Anyway, thanks for your efforts.

I couldn't agree with you more. One would think that if PW gets reports at an area over and over again, such as where the beggars stand at market and 35th and dump their refuse ALL THE TIME ( I see it every day and it up sets me so much that only looking at that wonderful mural in the underpass there calms me) they would check it regularly and not solely rely on our reports over and over again.

Due to the fact that this current massive pile of debris is blatantly strewn across the street, at 5AM this morning another massive truck of garbage was about to dump his load too! We yelled out the window and he drove off - Due something now! This is all we get for paying huge property taxes!! Thanks.

Maybe there would be more action if other agencies and not just a nameless "City of Oakland Public Works (Verified Official)" acknowledged our constant reports and comments. Perhaps Mayor's office (-?-), Fire Dept., Health Services Dept.? How do we also send these messages to these departments too???? A lot of the contents in this trash being dumped illegally each week contains toxic and other harmful waste. It creates vehicle hazards in the middle of our streets. Mounds of garbage clog our sidewalks making it impossible for elderly and people with disabilities to navigate. Children cannot play or ride bikes on sidewalks piled with dumped waste (what is this a Third World Country?!?!??!). Why is the Building Permit Department not involved? Often this illegal dumping is done by 'handymen' or sub-contractors -- can't we enforce proper disposal of renovation debris by demanding contractors show proof of Dump Receipts as part of the process for an inspector to sign off on a home renovation or other building improvement project? If contractors can't provide receipts for dumping, what are they doing with it?
