Description
Our street seems to have become the dumping ground for road work machinery this summer/fall. While I appreciate the road work that's being done on our street and a number of other streets, I'm getting tired of looking at and navigating around machinery that is parked on our street on a regular basis. In particular, this often occurs on weekends, even when our street isn't worked on in the days leading up to or just after the weekend. I know our street is probably ideal for storing machinery because it's a cul de sac, but can't we share the burden and park them on other streets now and then?

Thank you for your feedback the scope of work required on Case Parkway this year expanded when we opened up the catch basin structures on your street and they collapsed. As a result the City of Burlington has had to come in and removed and replace these basins which was not anticipated when the work to pave the street started. In addition to our crews there are two companies that are working together this season to complete our paving project; as you have noticed that creates a lot of extra equipment. We will discuss your feedback with the contractor to ensure they are consolidating their equipment as much as possible with the other work on the street to reduce the obstacles that need to be navigated for the duration of the project which is almost complete. Final paving of our streets is scheduled to start at the end of next week.
Thank you again for your feedback and patience with this seasons paving project.
