Description
This Subway resturarnt moved in in aprox. 2009. It is our understanding that they need to put a fence around the dumpster so it doesn't stand out. The dumpster sit's out in the middle of the neighborhood and everyone has to pass it either leaving or comming home. We spoke to the owner of the business, Steven Hypes, and originally he said he would be building a fence but since then he has had words with "everyone" on our street and now refuses to do anything about it at all. Can You please help us. Here are pictures. My # is 256-326-0441 Thank You, Yvette Alexander

CRO Steve Graham visited the location and spoke with manager Steven Hypers. What happened was the complex was in place when the adjacent property was annexed into the city of Huntsville jurisdiction. He assumed he was grandfathered in. He understands that the dumpster must come into compliance. The management was given 90 days to come begin work to bring the dumpster up to city ordinance compliance and we will continue to monitor the area for completion of the project. Thanks for bringing this our attention and giving us the opportunity to resolve the issue. Please contact Officer Steve Graham or Officer Johnny Hollingsworth with the West Precinct Community Resource Office if you have any further questions at 256-424-5441.
Thank you
