There is NO signage telling people to move right before Lawrence Rd and then it is too late, you are stuck in the left which turns at Broomal Lawrence Rd. there should be a sign coming down the hill from Manoa warning of the need to merge right. Otherwise, they are not breaking the law because the only notice is a left turn arrow on the road bed.

It's a state highway so it would fall on PennDOT's shoulder to post signs further up, and I do agree that you should have prior notice than where you do. With that being said, I know for a while the motorcycle cop from Marple was pulling people over for doing that and the overwhelming majority of people he stopped were people who drive that road EVERY morning and know that you need to merge right to continue westbound. So they're just ignorant impatient people who don't care about the law. Is it worth $110? And to "made the mistake", they are breaking the law because the signs are posted at Lawrence Rd in Haverford as well as the arrows in the road bed. Get caught doing this, and go to the judge with that excuse.....Good luck!!!
