Deskripsyon

The corners on this "horseshoe" with Blackwell Place make for a very constricted passageway at times. The cross street between these streets does not even have a name. Put up "No Parking" signs along this whole way! Everyone has off street parking available in this area.

Sgt Woods of the Newport PD is telling the state that a buys could get stuck around these corners, but he does not care if an emergency vehicle such as a fire truck or an ambulance gets stuck there. I recently had a grease fire on my stove but did not want to call anyone for fear they may get stuck. Luckily, after a few minutes, I was able to control it. This matter was brought up before Public Works over a year ago but they still have done nothing about it.

Take a closer look! The rocks are clearly off the street, unlike the cars that are parked right in the middle of the intersection.

The city's right-of-way extends further than the paved roadway. As far as the city's plat map shows, there is a 30' R.O.W. on that street. Technically, if the rocks are within the R.O.W., they are on the city's property. I am not saying that is necessarily the case, but am just putting it out there. Granted, people should be a little more courteous and make the corner passable. Also, hopefully the moving van is only temporary. :)
