Description

I first reported this a year ago: There is a large oak tree on the southwest corner of Norton and Elm that has a big forked limb (so effectively two large branches) that is dead and overhangs the sidewalk. I am concerned that it could break off and fall on a pedestrian passing underneath. Since the tree is in the apron I assume it is the responsibility of the city to remove the limb.

In December (12-06-2013) "Urban Forester, City of New Haven (Verified Official)" wrote, "The tree has been inspected and prioritized for action." SeeClickFix closed and archived the case.

Well guess what. It's now September 2014, NOTHING has been done, that large dead limb is still there ready to fall on a pedestrian or, God forbid, a child on a tricycle. PLEASE TAKE IT DOWN.
