With the increased (casino?) traffic on Frankford, it has become more and more difficult to cross Frankford at this intersection - drivers fly through and aren't looking for the MANY pedestrians and bicyclists coming up Thompson St.

A Pedestrian (Visitante)

This intersection, which I've used almost daily for decades, is increasingly a terror. There is neither a single traffic light nor a single stop sign controlling the motorists for the entire stretch of Frankford between Girard and Palmer, a bit more than 6/10 of a mile. No surprise they frequently treat this section of Frankford as though it was I-95. The City desperately needs to install traffic lights, both to control the increasing volume of traffic and to make it safer for pedestrians.

Streets department put in stops and stripes! All and sundry are confused, but thankfully it's slowed everyone down a bit and made the intersection safer.
