In the yard, citizen needs to move the debris to the end of the property line and call back for pick up Incomplete, need to return
Mr. Taliaferro - this is an overflowing dumpster that would not be easily moved to the curb and the owner of the property clearly is not tending to it. Shouldn't this involve code enforcement/DPW/waste services and not one of us "moving it to the street" to be picked up?
A long time ago, I saw a truck bring a new dumpster and take the old one away. It seemed like once a month, a new dumpster was arriving on the property and the old was removed. However, this dumpster has been there, with overflowing trash since July.
This issue is not closed. The fact that the City of Richmond "does not assist with dumpsters" has nothing to do with the City's obligation to deal with this issue as a code violation. It is a code violation issue that has been ongoing for more than 60 days and needs to be addressed by the City. I would bet that if this dumpster and pile of trash were moved to a side yard on Monument Avenue that it would not take the City 75 days to determine that it warranted no action and then subsequently close the issue.

I agree with W Payne.
It is a code enforcement issue that the City needs to address. It has been an ongoing problem in the neighborhood that has worsened over time.
