I completely agree with the other comments. I have lived off of N. Marginal for 5 years and have to travel through the 305 St./Marginal intersection every morning on my way to work. Most mornings as I pull out onto N. Marginal the traffic is backed up all the way to Bayridge Blvd., I am blocked from pulling out of my street (Brittney Ct.). After a reluctant driver finally lets me out, I typically have to wait at least 2 light cycles before I can make it the >100 yards to turn left through the intersection. This is pimarily because the N. Marginal light stays green for about 7 seconds opposed to longer durations for all the other lights in the area. This allots about 6 or 7 cars to get through. *This is extremely dangerous because now you have cars trying to drive through a red light so they don't have to wait almost 4 minutes for another green light.* It doesn't help that cars coming off the 305th exit ramps are still driving through the red light too. That only enhances the danger.
Please Mr. Mayor/Safety Director, sit through this mess every morning. See what hundreds of us experience everyday in this heavily populated area. Hopefully, at that point, you'll fix this ongoing problem that you clearly stated in the Willowick Courier had been eliminated.

The timing of the lights at this intersection is an accident waiting to happen. The traffic coming from the marginal light and the east bound freeway exit always have to wait for cars crashing the red lights before they can proceed. This makes a short green light even shorter. Coming of the freeway at least 6 to 7 cars are still coming through the intersection when the freeway exit light is green. This has gone on far to long and needs to be addressed.

This is a joke! Does anybody read these comments other than those of us who SUFFER? I sit through 2 to 3 lights EVERY morning! That's 2 min 40 seconds EACH! 7-9 cars @ a time is NOT enough! Well, 9-10 cars when you count the ones who run the light. I have had 2 close calls from rt.2 light runners. If I get hit I swear I will go postal on somebody!

i agree hold the city responsible for acidents on RT2 because of the back ups.

What would it take for them to just ADD some more time to the green light already?! This is getting OLD!!!

Not to mention my pay getting docked when I'm late! Sometimes life makes you cut it too close and TWO lights can add 5 needed minutes!

This morning I would have been car #9...
But car #1 & #2 ALMOST got hit by car # 15 & #16
WHO RAN THE LIGHT GETTING OFF THE FREEWAY!!!
So 2-1/2 minutes later I was car # 4... (and I ended up being 1 min late to work,,,)
Dropping off kids took forever. This morning EVERY minutes counted...
So I got docked .6 hours...
This must get attention from the city!
It's not the cities fault I cut it too close, but how late would I have been in that 4 car pile up happened!

This has not been fixed, and is still a joke!

and doesn't seam to care about these problems that affect us working class...

So after sitting through two lights (that's almost 5 minutes) I made it to the pole position.
JUST as the light was about to change. An ambulance going south on 305 triggered the light and sooooo I sat for another light!
And yes! I was late for work again!

Your issue has been outstanding for 938 days.
