The Eagle Association also took steps to minimize flooding along Bayless at Eagleville Rd during Irene. At the advice of a well-respected engineering consulting firm (used by many municipalities in the area), the Association placed barriers on common ground to help prevent water runoff from across Eagleville Road from flooding PRIVATE property. Those barriers are still in place. Compared with what has been shown on the news, our area got off easy.
How exactly would the Association 'line their pockets'? That's a rather serious accusation, and should not be made frivilously out of frustration with the weather. All homeowners are members of the 'Association', as are the board members, most of whom live in the community and have suffered property damage due to the recent weather events, as well.
Please try to be part of the solution, rather than adding fuel to the fire.
