It was likely picking up a car to be transported out of state for someone who is moving, or delivering a car that has been transported here from somewhere else. I can't speak to why it had to idle all that time.
I know people who have transported vehicles on trucks that big. But, since I didn't actually see the truck or the cars on it, I can't really speculate. Perhaps the driver was lost...though there aren't any car dealerships even close to East Rock.
Call the outfits name,On the front door would be a name of a company. They will not be thrilled that the driver wasted gas and money by leaving it idling.
Please don't blame the driver, the guy was given the job and was trying to do his best. I saw the truck and did not see a company's name. The cars were not new ones--not a dealership. The real question is: where were the NHPD? Not blaming the officers, either, but that may be something that they should be made aware of. Besides, this took place right next to Nica's, a business that has a long history of idle trucks/etc.
