I have questions and a request regarding the city sidewalk on my propertt. The sidewalk is in need of repair - who pays for the repair, who pays for potential damage to snow clearing equipment and most inportant - who is responsable for personal injury? The sidewalk has sunk and has lifted to a point where there is a 2" lip and has become a trip hazard and will certainly cause damage to the cities snow clearing machine. Another asphault patch is not the answer - 4 or 5 sections of the sidewalk should be replaced. It also collects water when it rains and snow melt freezes making a small pond. I'm a 31 year resident and this is my first request of the city - can you help?
