Description
The trash bin in the playground behind Strong School is overflowing. I picked up the overflow yesterday and filled an entire giant contractor bag. Children regularly use this playground, and the trash is disgusting and unhygienic. PLEASE empty this bin ASAP!!!!!!

The situation has been particularly bad in the last month. Here is what has been done:
- The school department was contacted 3 weeks ago, no response.
- A representative of the company contracted to maintain the building and grounds was on site a couple of weeks ago. He was told, his response was polite but no clean up and no emptying of the garabage container.
- A neighbor but it on See, Click, Fix with a request echo by various people stating that its necessary to do a clean up before cutting the grass. The request was ignored, so now there are dozens of pieces of paper for every one that was dropped and still the garbage bin is full.
- Last week the area Alder was informed. He called the school system, no response. On Thursday he and I saw the LCI specialist for Fair Haven at the Community Management Team meeting. She told the alder that last time she called for that garbage bin to be emptied by someone other than the school staff a grievence was filed. The children and parents could care less who does the removal, just get it done, for the children.
I did a little clean up but since the trash bin has not been emptied as of this morning I had to bring the garbage home. I also noticed this morning that someone brought a garbage bag, filled it with some of the garbage in the barrel, perhaps also picked up other garbage. Who ever it was thank you.
Do we need to post pictures of children playing next to the overflowing garbage can?
Please empty the garbage can! Keep public spaces where children play as though your children played there.
Thank you to whoever gets this done.
