As of 8/17/2014, the sinkhole hasn't been repaired yet. Here is a photo, showing the cracked, sagging pavement and the central hole. Since this is immediately next to a similar sinkhole that was repaired last year, I suspect the previous repair didn't fix the leaking pipe, or it has developed another leak.

This time, the repair was only about one foot wide, so I suspect they patched the surface hole without dealing with the underground problem. If this is true, the sinkhole will be back, and larger, within a few months. I will follow up with Public Works and the Water Department.
