I called Cal Trans yesterday and left a message for the maintenance crew regarding this issue and the initial complaint I filed regarding the weeds. Let's hope they get on this. I will recheck on Monday.

To date there has been no action on the problems along Oakland Blvd. (other than the weeds are bigger, drier, and encroach on the walking path more).
I realize you are not responsible for scheduling either Public Works or Cal Trans and appreciate your efforts.
It seems that once an organization is made aware of a liability issue, they would make certain they were not responsible for allowing an existing, noted, acknowledged problem to go unaddressed.
It would be fiscally irresponsible to allow something to possibly present itself that could cost the taxpayers more than the initial investment of time to remediate.
Should I go to someone in particular with this request?

I called Caltrans (again) and this time spoke to someone who advised that the request I put in 2 months ago was sent to the "Excess Land" division. I have a call into them and have stressed the importance of getting this area cleared --- ADA issues. You can always submit another request through their website or call Caltrans and voice your concerns. I'm hoping this latest contact will get the job done.
