When I lived in Hampton, the landscape workers could not keep up with the needs of the people. They employed groups like the boy scouts to remove damaged trees and reuse the wood for city wide improvments perhaps there could be a civic group that could help with the vegitation control and drain ways.

Three of the four houses on the block are elderly and there is no civic organization. This is the city's responsibility. Up to this point, these blocked drainage ditches have been cleaned out at least once each year by the city. They are on the city easement and there is a vacant lot on the side of the picture. Please clean out the city drainage ditches or install proper gutters like everywhere else (that would solve the problem permanently).

Public Works staff reports work orders (#1524189 and #1524193 )have been generated for both ditches, and the work will be complete within 120 days, weather permitting.
