Unfortunately, the timing of this light is always off, and it rarely gets addressed because I have been informed that this is not the proper place to get this changed. The city does not operate this light, but rather NCDOT (from what I understand). It seems odd that North bound traffic on Gorman gets priority over south bound traffic in light cycles, when most often, there are no cars going north on Gorman through intersection, and often times, the light goes green for north bound traffic when there isn't even a car.
