The Prestige Scrap & Metal property is 278' wide and and the City of Houston Ordinance 28-34 requires scrap yard with material outside of an enclosure to be 300' from residential property lines. The 300 foot measurement is made on the basis of land uses in existence at the time the original permit or license application for the facility is filed and at the time of any expansion of the size of the property used for the facility.
