The traffic light for the vehicles on Bayridge Blvd. trying to enter Lake Shore Blvd. stays red if the first car at the light is not exactly on the sensor line. At least twice a week I see a situation where the light stays red for a huge line of cars on Bayridge because of this. I have had to get out of my own car several times and walk up to the first car in line and inform them that they either need to pull up or sometimes even back up to the line.
I know that there is a perfectly good sign pointing to where the car needs to be but there are a ton of drivers who don't seem to notice it.
Can this light be changed to a timing light instead of a sensor?
