  This would - at the very be least -deter the drug trafficking happening more & more & more on the corner of booth & north . It is already labeled no parking but that does nothing. There is not enough available enforcement & this is problem is fast growing.

  It will only have people go other places to get the drugs like around the corner or down the street. If people want drugs they will get them. It's a very big problem here and everywhere so the planters won't deter people

  Correct , can’t stop the illicit drug trafficking but the planters would surely stop the illegal parking going on given its already labeled NO PARKING & also btw right next to a neighborhood park.

  If you lived on Booth and North, you may feel differently. This is a City park where little children play. Teens play basketball steps from this area and are clearly at risk. I am thinking the registered user is saying if the tubs go there, it may cause them not gather, park and /or do their drugs deals there. Tubs are not perfect, nor are they the full solution. But my guess they will be much better than watching drug deals go on day and night outside your window.

  The thing is that the druggies go to all of the parks and everywhere else. And the problem is that the police department needs to get more undercover detectives but the city council won't let them hire as many that are needed to crack down on the dealers so the state police should be involved and the DEA but it looks like they won't really get involved either so the only thing I can think of doing is contacting your council members and complain about it to them
