It seems to be there on the weekends. I have seen a vehicle pick him up on Thursday or Friday. It is parked on Brazoswood near the Scott & White Pharmacy.
This issue was further investigated and the area the truck is parked in is zoned commercial. It is not a code violation to park where commercially zoned, however, it is if it were zoned residential.
Truck shows up after 5:00pm and leaves before 8:00am on weekdays to avoid being caught by city inspectors who don't work after 5:00pm or before 8:00am.
This is a neighborhood with a nice park where the truck parks. Residents cannot park their RVs on their property, so how could it be ok for someone to drop off their 18-wheeler every day in a subdivision? This can cause property values to drop. I have a solution -- invite the owner of the truck to park in your neighborhood. This issue will not be closed until the truck is gone from our neighborhood. There are areas where the truck can park legally.
The side of the street where this truck is parked is zoned commercially. Parking on the street is allowed. As dipicted in the photos and as observed by Code staff, this is not a violation. Code staff will continue monitor where the truck parks. The College Station Police Department's Community Enhancement Unit has been made aware of the situation. If a violation is noted, please call the non-emergency police number at 979-764-3600.
