There is nothing to fix... Many people dont want floride in their water and if we sell our water it means less taxes for you

I have to agree that the town should be more open when making this type of change, but I have to agree with their resolve to remove fluoride from the public water. How many of your readers know that fluoride was added to the water of the people in the concentration camps to specifically "dumb" them down? How many understand that fluoride is a carcinogenic material? How many of them understand that even in the CDC, only members of the ADA were involved with the approval of the use of fluoride in the water, and they had no test results to justify this decision? That even dentists and doctors cannot question the science behind fluoride? I believe even a full open meeting where proof that fluoride is safe, not feelings, would result in the same outcome.

i don't think its greed but a matter of public health regarding the known issues with flouride.

And it’s not as though its addition to tap water can be directly linked to cavity reduction. It is quite obvious that there has been a clear increase in good oral health habits in the past decades. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) already acknowledged years ago that fluoride’s “predominant” effect is after teeth have erupted (permanent teeth) and topical. So there’s no reason to ingest fluoride.

The town counsel has met and agreed to take the floride out and explained that it will help keep taxes and water costs lower, everyone there agreed. That closed the issue. While two people might nit be happy about it the issue is in fact closed.. If people posted that there was an issue that we cant drive on the left side of the road would the issue be open after we had a meeting to declare that we drive on the right side and thats that?

This is the problem with america. Every that thinks that by spending a few dollars to say have floride in the water which makes it hard to sell our surplus and offset the cost of obtaining the water is no big deal doesnt understand that all those no big deal projects add up to the insaine taxes we already pay and worse debt when we cant collect enough taxes.

Pottstown/upper pottsgrove is in finacial trouble, you'd think people coild sacrifice and give up something as simple as floride and just use florinated toothpaste. Most of the water we use isnt used in consumptiin, its used to flush toilets, take showers, and wash dishes. What a waste of floride and resources.. Its not even green floride is poision to some critters. Dont be selfish and if you really want this stucf dont complain about the cost then and also and most importantly show up to the meetings and voice that opinion. If you want to know why this is being done its because everyone at the meetung basically agreed, where were you?

No one knew about the meeting because they only posted it in the legal notes, which is arcane. If they posted in the real part of the paper people would have been there to stop this like the last time they tried. I never complained about the price of water. This does not effect taxes, and I don't give a rat's but about selling to other townships. If you would read real doctors reports, you would see that Fluoride has done well in the US. Bottom line, stop closing an issue that is active, just because your mind is closed on the subject, don't stop others from talking about it.. This is going backwards, You don't go from a fluoride system to a non fluoride system.. Answer me this in the US, how many system took the fluoride in the last 30 years?? how many put it in??

Fluoride needs to go, mass medication is not a practical way to medicate. 99.9 percent of fluoride is wasted into our environment. Use tooth paste, ps do not swallow paste as per the directions.

Get a clue people. Stop arguing about this toxic poison that has never been proven to help teeth,Two ounces of fluoride toothpaste can kill a child .Why would anyone want to use it, knowing that fact? Advanced countries did tons of research and shunned fluoride many years ago. We have enough toxic dumps, radiation and heavy metals spewing in this town..and really high cancer rates
And yes the water does taste HORRIBLE!! We sure don't drink it.

Its nice to see someone with as much medical knowledge as you appear to have. I only know a little medical and maybe a lot more on chemistry and history and agree wholeheartedly with your assessment.

Its the same old thing.. Smart people understand the risks and the costs while people that are uniformed do just about everything they can in increase the cost to the tax payers and force deadly toxins into our system. If you want floride no one is stopping you from buying it and no one should. Quit forcing higher costs and toxins on the rest of us

I don't think it's greed, Mr Lewis, just a desire not to be sickened by something being put in the water that has dubious benefits. It's also a waste of material since most of the water is not ingested (flushing the toilet, running the dish washer, taking a shower, washing the car, or watering the lawn). Realizing that you are probably having hard times and dental problems that could be alleviated by the addition of fluoride to the water would hold off that type of bill, I will state over from my upbringing,"If it sounds too good to br true (especially without proof of safety or claim), then it probably is too good to be true.

Fluride has made my teeth ugly and spotty. Say no to poison in the water.
