Description
When traveling west on Washington Ave Extension, there are two lanes that turn right into Crossgates Commons. The lane all the way to the right is clearly marked with multiple pavement markings and a sign at the traffic light for right turn only. The lane to the left has one pavement marking showing that you can go straight or right, but no sign above at the traffic light. Many people don’t realize that this lane can be used to take a right into Crossgates Commons. There have been numerous times when I've used the outer lane to take a right, and have been cut off or almost hit by the vehicle to my right as they come into my lane when turning. I think that either a sign should be added to indicate you can go straight or right using the outer lane, or that this lane should be a straight only and the pavement marking adjusted.
