  Per the property owner, the structure was built to recommendations of the Planning & Building Departments. Its approximately 10x12 in square footage and meets the side yard property line setback. The structure is not meant for human habitation.

  It's higher than their house and definitely bigger than stated it's also getting sky light windows which is unusual for non habitable dwelling

  From a site inspection, it did not appear to be taller than the house and the owner may install windows in the structure. Its is a common feature of accessory structures.

  I have written to our state representatives and governor expressing my objection to ADU's. I realize they can be very convenient and beneficial in a limited way, such as providing a place for aging parents to be taken care of. However, there is a lot of marketing going on in enticing homeowners that ADU buildings promise a new "income stream" to renting out their backyard ADU to strangers, etc. I call these buildings "parasitic homes". What do you think?
