don't expect any help from the new haven police department; we have on numerous occasions spotted the gang of black youths with knapsacks scoping out the streets for bikes- 2 are on bikes, one walks. police response is to laugh or to comment 'oh well'

Make sure when locking your bike to always use a U-Lock ,A good U-Lock , And throw in a strong cable -Always include a tire and part of the frame when locking , Otherwise they can ride away with your bike and have the U-Lock dangling on a crossbar useless

Am I the only one thinking the only solution may be to move out of New Haven

The cops don't answer the 911 calls ,and simply ignore the non emergency calls .But your local sits at that community management meeting with family in tow looking for praises and accolades - Homage and entitlements as he/she is so special.
It has been proven or is a known fact that their criminal element follows them from appointed district to district , expecting and receiving a crime juice card,a get out of jail free card, Further pushing away any response from the jokers..Like Bib Brother teaching community lessons then putting the guilty bloody arm around you.

Tree in front of 356 Humphrey Street needs trimming. All service lines (cable, phone and electric) are under branches needing trimming. If this is not done before winter serious problems could occur. Electric service was up-dated today by a crew and they are aware of the problem but could not trim branches due to New Haven protocol requiring qualified personnel to do this task. Help !!

Sidewalk in front of 356 Humphrey still an issue (for 2 years). Tree caused brand new sidewalk to crack and lift. This is NOT due to someone driving on it. Come see me and I will prove it.
