They sometimes park oversize trucks there overnight. Macomb County does not have any rest areas along interstates or state routes. With this location within the tri-county area, it is an excellent prospect for a truck rest haven.

Macomb County has virtually no truck stops for transient drivers to pull over and make a rest stop. With all the interstate and state highways, Macomb handles plenty of truck traffic, yet forces fatigued drivers to travel without opportunity for rest. Macomb County is the only county in southeast Michigan without any sort of rest area facilities.

Perhaps this issue is better addressed to the State of Michigan, as the county might not have any say in the matter.

Such a waste of available resources.
