There is a 30 ft or more sink hole right next to Grand Harbor Condos.
So close to our structiure that it is jepordizing our foundations.

City of Painesville owns this property and something needs to be done soon. A sewer line is damaged and each time it rains the land iis getting washed away.

It is presently roped off with caution tape but heaven forbid if a anyone should happen to fall into it. This is a very serious problem and needs addressed NOW!!!!

Shar: Maybe the people of Grand River should band together and get this taken care of and let the NEWS CHANNELS IN THE AREA know about the situation if the city doesn't want to take care of it . There is also a hole at the corner of Wilmot that the city keeps filling and it keeps sinking also.

Just found out no one seems to want to look into this situation. City doesn't answer phone calls or return them either.

the sink hole is still there and has been filled many times and now there is a marker over it and it still isn't resolved....there are many more throughout Grand River area.

I would venture to guess that it's the storm water lines being damaged, causing water to start leaking out, washing away the surrounding sand/dirt.

as far as grand river not fixing it, it could be because they simply can't afford to take on a several million dollar project that it woudl eventually become since repairs only last so long and they'd have to just replace all the sewer lines, and the roads they are under.

The corner of wilmot has a sinking metal plate and I have noticed it is opening up more and more each time I drive that way. You can see the opening underneath the plate. I wouldn't drive over the plate for fear my car might disappear and if my car got damaged who would be responsible for repairs?

City has collapsed sewers with the way they patched the street and raw sewage backs up into homes.
