Description
There have been 2 traffic accidents at the intersection of Willow and San Antonio in the past week and many many more over the years I've lived here. I'd like to propose a 4 way stop at this intersection to slow all cars down and prevent collisions. A 4 way stop would also make it safer to cross the street at this intersection - especially during the hours that students are walking to and from the two closest schools - St. Joes and Alameda High.

Cars routinely ignore the 4-way stop at Willow and San Jose too. This is particularly dangerous since San Jose is a “slow street” that hosts many cyclists and pedestrians.
@Alameda- Pls let us know what we can do help you prioritize actions to address the public safety problems on Willow St from Clinton to Encinal.

Thank you for reporting your concerns about street safety in Alameda. Your report will help inform the City of Alameda’s work to achieve our Vision Zero goal of eliminating traffic fatalities and severe injuries. We will use street safety reports, including yours, in combination with crash data and equity indicators to prioritize and design street safety investments. This evaluation will generally happen on an annual basis, with some exceptions for clear and pressing trends. Issues that the City deems to be immediate safety concerns will be elevated for quick action.
