Description

Add a 2nd exclusive walk phase. You can add a 2nd exclusive walk phase to the signal timing plan without any negative effects to vehicles. Currently, when a pedestrian pushes the walk button they have to wait up to an entire cycle for a walk signal (it only displays after MA-28 has had it's green and before MA-129 gets a green), however if you put in a second one in between MA-129 and MA-28 phase changes, pedestrians will only have to wait half of the time to get a walk signal. You can also program it so that if a walk phase has occurred in the signal cycle, it will wait at least a full cycle to reappear (called LOCKOUT), if it is pressed twice, which eliminates the issue of having 2 walk phases in the same cycle. Since the walk phase only displays if the button is pressed, this gives pedestrians half of the waiting time for a walk phase and doesn't reduce operations for vehicles. This can be done along the entire MA-28 corridor signals.

Thanks!
