There has been a lot of cars lately with loud siren type speakers behind the bumper playing really, really loud rap lyrics, usually of a vulgar nature demeaning to women, police, white people and black people.

Most recently was today when I heard thisnoise come closer and closer then as said person rounded the corner going north on tarboro, I could not even hear the person i was talking to.

I could not get a tag number as people regularly drive at twice the posted speed limit on this road.

As this person passed me, a police car drove in the opposite direction and he had the speaker cut off before the cop could even see where the noise was coming from... even if the officer saw where it was coming from, I really don't think that he would care.

In an effort to combat this, we really need more unmarked police cars here... bicycle patrols would also help a lot. With a combination of those two, I think it would help the community a lot because when officers are racing around in their cruisers with the windows up and the AC on, they miss out on a lot of things that happen around them.
