Description

The tenant who lives here has operated an unlicensed metal recycling business for at least 8 years. Guys fan out every night and pry metal off of buildings and deliver it to her in shopping carts-usually in the very early morning hours. She pays them cash and they repeat. She loads the metal in 3-4 dilapidated pick ups and dump trucks and turns it into cash to reward the guys for their thievery. When they can't recycle the entire appliance, she dumps the garbage down the block in fri t if the 3 vacant lots. A previous complaint was closed. Why? The activity has continued for over 8 years. The property owner needs to be cited by the Oakland city attorney for permitting his tenants to run this illegal enterprise. The property owners whose properties are being vandalized and damaged would appreciate this business being shut down. The guys who steal metal off of buildings need to have their source of funds eliminated maybe they'll seek sone social services and get into rehab so they don't have to rob property owners to pay for their destructive lifestyle.
