Description

Repair work was done about two years ago on underground infrastructure after there was a water main/pipe rupture on Tafts Avenue. The street at the end of Maryland Avenue was torn up to repair the pipes underneath the street. As you can see from this one photo, the street has several depressions and ruts. The asphalt appears to have sunken further. Residents cannot make the turn onto Maryland from Tafts without essentially bottoming out on this area. It really needs to be addressed. I took several photos, but was only able to upload a single photo. DPW will see exactly what I am referencing upon inspection of the street.

also asked...
Q. Location of pothole?
A. There are actual ruts in the street from where the asphalt was replaced/repaired after the water main break that occurred on Tafts Avenue and workers dug up Maryland Ave at the end of the street to make repairs to the underground infrastructure.
Q. Description of request:
A. This section of street on Maryland Avenue needs to be addressed and repaired. Again, this isn't a mere pothole requiring patch and fill. Upon inspection, workers will see that the issue is more than just a pothole.
