There are signs up for a 4 way stop near the construction site of the new Newton Conover Middle School. The only problem is there is an intersection and two turn lanes. How can that possibly be a 4-way stop. County Home Road is heavily traveled in the morning and afternoon. Some one will get hurt at this intersection if the DOT goes ahead with the 4-way stop. If anything there needs to be a stop light there and that doesn't need to occur until the school is completed and open.

Help, the DOT needs to install a stop light at the new intersection to the Newton Conover Middle school located on County Home road. There are mornings when only the cars traveling on County Home road must stop, because there are very few cars coming out of Pipers Ridge development or the new "unfinished' school. This is a main road for drivers coming from the St. Stephens community to Newton or Conover to work. It is ridiculous for a 4 way stop on this busy street. It needs to be a stop light - so if no traffic is on the cross over street, then the other cars on County Home won't have to stop. Please help get this fixed.

There is still a four way stop at this intersection and the school will not open until next year. It's crazy 98% of the time you are stopping when you are the only car. Its stupid. Our tax dollars at work. I can't wait until school starts and you have a line of buses waiting to turn and they all have to stop, when nothing is coming.

Now, they have decided to make it a roundabout......its the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, this is a 45 mph, country road! Please wbtv, come investigate this foolishness, there is no common sense going on here!
